March 7th: “Racing Nutrition for 5K/10K Walkers”

Alice Palmer, Walking Coach, MS, RN

Alice has been walking competitively for 10 years. Her first race was the Flying Pig Marathon in 200 in the rain and dropping temperatures. Nevertheless, she was hooked! She’s done 9 more marathons since then as well as many ½ marathons, 14,10 and 5 K races.

“Walking is a great way to stay in shape and learn what a beautiful city Cincinnati is, but the friendships that I have made along the way are even more important. You really get to know folks that you walk with for all those hours of training.

March 14th: “The Importance of Heart Rate Training”

Jennifer Lynn CPT-NASM

Jennifer started her career after graduating summa cum laude from Xavier University, which led her to then pursue additional training with MaddDogg Athletics in Spinning, The Physical Mind Institute for Mat Pilates, Yoga Fit for her 500 RYT, NASM for Personal Training, TRX, Concept 2 for Indoor Rowing and Ski Erg, Gravity EFI for Personal Training, Piloxing, and Balanced Body University for Pilate Apparatus Comprehensive Certification.

Jennifer loves working in fitness and considers it a perfect complement to her other passion in life – music. She teaches private piano and voice lessons to children and adults of all ages. In addition to her everyday responsibilities, Jennifer was also the Director of Operations for the Indoor Cycling Association, an online educational website, and was manager of the brand ambassadors for Zweet Sport Clothes, and athletic apparel line. This cornucopia of passions has led her to found her own studio, Fit Philosophie and finally wear a new hat as the owner of her life’s dream.

Kristy Brandabur Med., CPT-ISSA, Ordained Minister

Kristy A. Brandabur is the owner of Metamorphosis: Holistic Wellness Center LLC, located in the Historic Columbia Tusculum area of Cincinnati. Kristy is also the owner of Workplace Wellness Cincy, which provides onsite coaching, workshops, nutritious snack and health promotion programs to small businesses in Cincinnati. Her BS is in Health Promotion and Exercise Physiology and her Med is in Curriculum and Development in Medical Education. She holds certificates in Personal Training, Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Meditation, Reiki, Yoga, and Pilates. She is also a Certified Body, Mind, Fitness Coach, Holistic Life Coach and Ordained Minister in the State of Ohio.

March 28th: “Stretching to Prevent Injury”

Nikki Hamilton eRYT 300-Yoga Certification

Nikki Hamilton is a certified yoga instructor who has been teaching for 14 years. She enjoys teaching beginning and advanced yoga students and enjoys helps students become more flexible, strong and centered.

April 4th “Keys to Healthy Weightloss”

Lisa C. Andrews, MEd, RD, LD, Owner, Sound Bites Nutrition, LLC

Lisa Andrews has been a Registered Dietitian in Cincinnati since 1990 and is the owner of Sound Bites Nutrition, LLC. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition & dietetics and Masters of Education in nutrition and is certified in adult weight management by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Lisa works with individuals and groups to eat cleaner to aid with weight loss, disease management and general wellness. She has over 23 years of experience as a clinical dietitian and has also worked as a community dietitian and research assistant. Lisa has taught nutrition courses at the University of Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky University and Christ Hospital School of Nursing. She serves as a nutrition expert for Shapefit.com, NetWellness.org, 50+fit.com and Dietitiancentral.com and is a regular contributor to Food and Nutrition Magazine’s “Stone Soup” recipes. Lisa has been quoted in several local and national publications and appears regularly on Fox 19. She was recently nominated for the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Excellence in Media Award. In 2002, she received the Ohio Dietetic Association Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award.

April 11th:” Strength Training Without Equipment”

Theresa Vermillion BS, AFAA, Personal Trainer Mason Recreation Center

Theresa Vermillion works as a Certified Personal Trainer and TRX Instructor.   She has a B.S. in Education and is a member of IDEA, AFAA and the WFA.

When she is not personal training or working on her next certification, Theresa can be found outdoors, on a hike, on her road bike, at the fields watching her kids, or preparing for her next race, chase or event.
